Recap / Runescape Fairy Tale II Cure A Queen

Go To

You've given the Queen's Secateurs back to the Godfather, but crops are still failing and the Queen's still in a coma. The home of Fairy Nuff, the healer tending to the queen, has been ransacked and both she and her patient are gone. Nuff did leave a set of Fairy Ring coordinates hidden on the back of her healer's certificate. The Fairy Godfather will give you permission to use the Fairy Ring system, which is a set of portals leading all over Gilenor and other planes as well.

Use the co-ordinates to get to Fairy Nuff, who has absconded with the queen in fear of what the Godfather would do to her. The queen's advisor, Fairy Very Wise, kindly tells you that the queen's not cured yet because you are an idiot. The Godfather didn't give the Queen's Secateurs to Fairy Nuff because he's The Starscream and doesn't want the queen cured. Is anyone really surprised?

Luckily, you can fix your mistake by being stealing the secateurs back. Unluckily, the Queen's been in her coma for too long, and the return of her magic can only help so much. You can boost her the rest of the way by making a Magic Essence potion, from ingredients found around the planes. This will wake the Queen up, and she'll take charge of the Fairy Resistance, waiting for the right moment to strike against the Fairy Godfather and his army of orks.

Congratulations, quest complete!

Tropes

  • The High Queen: The Fairy Queen, now that she's back.
  • La RĂ©sistance: The Fairy Resistance.
  • Obviously Evil: The Fairy Godfather is blatantly patterned after the Mafia, down to the heavy Italian accent. Is it really any wonder he turned out to be the bad guy?
  • The Starscream: The Fairy Godfather, it turns out, fought the Tanglefoot with the Queen and backstabbed her, leading to her coma.
