Leslie starts dismantling the cult she helped create, but Frank has other plans. AWOL uses Livvie as bait to confront the Runaways. The teens must protect Gert & Old Lace, who are sick, and AWOL's team storms the hostel. Victor doesn't feel like himself.
- Bed Trick: Jonah, while in possession of Victor's mind, has sex with Janet.
- Call-Back: Similarly to how Gert reached out to Janet and set up a meeting with Chase to get her meds without Chase's knowledge, Chase takes the unconscious Gert and Old Lace to Dale and Stacey to save them without consulting with her.
- Didn't Think This Through: Lampshaded by Alex, who first acts as if he didn't think things through when he walks up to AWOL alone. But then he lures him into a trap, which results in AWOL getting captured.
- Dragged Off to Hell: Nico apparently taps into the powers of the Dark Dimension and teleports all the members of AWOL's strike team to an unknown location.
- Et Tu, Brute?: Everybody from the Church, even Vaughn, starts turning on Leslie, under the command of Frank. They are even getting ready to recondition her.
- Failed a Spot Check: Janet brushes off Victor suddenly forgetting they had sex as "stress" and totally ignores Tina's outrageously bizarre behavior.
- Godzilla Threshold: Left with no other options, Chase brings Old Lace and Gert to her parents for treatment. Which, off course, ends with them being locked up.
- Gone Horribly Right: Leslie realizes too late she was so convincing creating the Church that the followers refuse to accept her shutting it down and it being a fraud and going to any lengths to "save" her.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Leslie invented the Church's Reconditioning. Now she's being forced into it.
- Jack Bauer Interrogation Technique: Alex briefly tortures AWOL with Chase's fistigons, much to the horror of the rest of the group.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Stacey being willing to poison her own daughter should be a major warning sign something is wrong with her.
- The Reveal: It was Stacey who poisoned Old Lace (and Gert) - or rather, whatever is possessing her.
- Room 101: The Church of Gibborim has a room dedicated to "Reconditioning", in which unruly or rebellious members of the church are strapped to a chair for what appears to be brainwashing.
- Shout-Out: Nico taps into the powers of the dark dimension. Her eyes even look the same to how Kaecilius and his Zealots looked!
- Wham Line: Nico reveals the Staff of One communicates with her and had told her to kill Jonah.

- Victor is possessed by Jonah! And he begins putting out fliers written in his language to the survivors of the ship to find him or Possessed!Tina
- What the Hell, Hero?: Dale is extremely angry when "Stacey" admits to having been the one to poison Old Lace (and Gert).
- Would Hurt a Child: AWOL threatens Xerxes to control Livvie.
