- Heroic BSoD: Cyrill begins to go through this when Flum apparently 'leaves' the party.
- Irony: Jean believed that the party could make faster progress with Flum gone, but it turns out that was not the case at all. They weren't slowed down simply to allow Flum to keep up, but Linus points out they needed to take it slow because they were in enemy territory.
- It's All My Fault: Cyrill begins blaming herself for Flum's departure.
- Parting-Words Regret: While Cyrill was coldly silent to Flum during their previous meeting, she apparently said some unkind things to Flum beforehand that she wishes she could take back.
- Ungrateful Bastard:
- Cyrill realizes that she's been this to Flum.
- Jean was this to Flum because it is revealed that Flum had previously cooked his meals the way he liked them and properly prepared him tea. Despite her attempts to be nice to him, he still sold her into slavery.
- Jean is this to Linus in this chapter when his only reaction to Linus attempting to make him tea was get pissed that he didn't do it right.
- Villains Never Lie: Subverted. Jean tells the rest of the heroes that Flum went home when in reality he sold her into slavery. Additionally, this chapter proves that Jean lied to Flum about all the other heroes being onboard with selling Flum.
