A scientist is murdered and the squad hunts for clues while Angela deals with family drama concerning her ex-husband's new fiancé (who had previously dated Tommy Rizzoli as well). Later, Jane gets kidnapped by a baker (David DeLuise) who believes that he and Jane are married.
Tropes in the Episode
- Alone with the Psycho: Jane is kidnapped by the killer with a psychotic delusion that he and Jane Rizzoli are married. He holders her captive in a replica of her bedroom in an abandoned building.
- Ax-Crazy: The killer Baker Dominick Bianchi has a hair trigger temper and Jane has to be careful to keep alive and not enrage him while trying to escape.
- Big "WHAT?!": Jane lets out one when she learns Tommy slept with Lydia too, which means her baby might be Tommy's.
- In Vino Veritas: Dr. Pike is antagonistic to Dr. Isles but after four drinks he professes that he is really secretly attracted to her and thinks she's brilliant.
- Just in Time: The killer threw Hollywood Acid into the face of his last victim. Just as he is implying he will do the same to Jane, the cavalry arrives.
- Stalker Shrine: Dominick has an entire wall of creepy photoshopped pictures of Jane.
- Trauma Conga Line: When Lydia first appears, she's a crying mess. Not only did Papa Rizzoli dump her, she's unemployed, homeless, and has been living out of car that's about to be taken away. Not to mention she's seven months pregnant.
