- Foreshadowing: South taunts Carolina by claiming she just wants to secure her place at the top of the Leader Board. Later events will show she's right.
- Leeroy Jenkins: York tries to direct and coordinate his team, but Wyoming and Maine just keep charging in and getting beat by Tex.
- Unnecessary Roughness: Eventually, Wyoming and Maine bring in actual weapons for the paintball gun matches.
