Donut and Wash enter the Everwhen, and run into problems.
Tropes
- Didn't Think This Through: At the end of the episode, Donut brings himself and Washington further back in time to when everyone was at Blood Gulch, but realizes too late that Wash hadn't actually been at Blood Gulch at the time yet, causing the two of them to be separated.
- "Eureka!" Moment: When Donut and Washington are discussing that they just need to get the other Reds and Blues to be aware of something they can't possible know, Donut suddenly claims he thinks he knows what it is, only for it to be subverted as a lengthy silence passes and Donut admits he thought something would come to him before he was done talking. Then Double Subverted when Wash realizes all the Reds and Blues have Déjà vu, so if he were to show himself to them before the events of Season 6, when they actually met, then they would probably recognize him and it would be enough to snap them out of it like it did with him.
- Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: When Wash berates Donut for "Crudely made innuendos", Donut insists he stopped that "Since all my buddies laid into me one by one" and realizes that he's still making them.
- Jerkass Realization: Wash realizes how much Carolina actually cares for him when Donut explains how she convinced everyone to go back in time and prevent his injury, despite the risk it had and ultimately resulted in, and that it was the closest she had ever come to crying, or more accurately the second closest now after Wash snapped at her past self.Wash:...Fuck.
- Locked Out of the Loop:
- Season 7 Simmons is utterly confused by Donut and Wash suddenly being friendly and making conversation right after Washington shot Lopez.
- Season 13 Carolina is confused and hurt when Wash angrily snaps at her for not believing him, still mad at her for not telling him about his brain damage.
- Motivational Lie: Donut fibs a bit to Washington when telling him how much Carolina cares about him. He explains that Carolina convinced them all to go back in time to save Wash from getting shot and he was there. This is technically untrue since Donut had already betrayed the others and stolen The Hammer, but it was still true for all the other Reds and Blues and it convinces Wash to let go of his grudge against Carolina and focus on the task at hand.
