After it appears that The Swinger Girl has finally done it and swung over the top of the swingset and vanished, Spinelli starts a cult following based around her.
Tropes:
- 360-Degree Swing Set Swing: Spinelli believes she actually saw Swinger Girl achieve this, and promptly creates a cult based on her and attempts to do the swing herself. However, by the end of the episode, it's revealed Swinger Girl never made the swing; she leaped off at the last moment when her mother called her.
- A Day in the Limelight: Subverted. This is the only episode in which Swinger Girl plays a prominent role, but she's not actively a part of the story.
- Buffy Speak:Spinelli: Maybe [Swinger Girl] disappeared into one of those other dimension thingies.
- Cult: Parodied. After witnessing what appeared to be Swinger Girl going over the top of the swingset and vanishing, Spinelli starts a following based around "The Teachings of Swinger Girl".
- Easy Evangelism: Practically the whole playground minus TJ, Vince, and Gretchen buys into Spinelli's words about Swinger Girl rather quickly. Even King Bob buys into it.
- Negated Moment of Awesome: In-universe. At the beginning of the episode, it looked like Swinger Girl was about to go over the top of the swingset but she falls straight down much to the kids' disappointment.
- Titled After the Song: The episode title is a reference to the song by The Doors "Break on Through to the Other Side".
