Even though Enzo is winning the games, Megabyte is still loose in Mainframe. The Principal Office decide it's time for the virus to feel trapped...in a firewall.
This episode has examples of
- Badass Biker: AndrAI once again reboots into one.
- Batman Gambit: Enzo feels the situation is hopeless and gives up. As Phong is about to say something comforting, Mouse waves him away and tries a different tactic to snap Enzo out of it.Mouse: Then Megabyte's won. He's beaten the defender of this system with words. I'm only glad Bob's can't see this.Enzo: Bob? Bob wouldn't hind in here while Megabyte took over! A Guardian would find a way to stop him! A way to lock him up! Megabreath should be the prisoner, not us!
- Big "WHAT?!": Megabyte, as Mouse deploys the relays for the firewall.
- Call-Back: Megabyte calling Enzo a delivery boy harkens back to "Racing the Clock", where Enzo tried to start his own delivery service...with Megabyte as his first customer, no less.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: In the last scene, Enzo has finally earned the respect of the citizens, and they cheer his name.
- Fire-Forged Friends / Heel–Face Turn: Working together in the game motivates Cyrus to change sides.
- Glad You Thought of It: To give Enzo back his confidence, Mouse and Phong tactfully push him to bring up Megabyte being trapped, which they use to segue into their plans with the firewall.
- Insult Backfire: Megabyte reveals that he now controls Hexadecimal.Enzo: You did that to your own sister?!
Megabyte: Yes, yes. Yes, rather good, isn't it? - Irony: After the firewall is activated, Hexadecimal is quite amused that her jailer is now jailed.
- Music Video: In keeping with the James Bond parodies throughout, the second scene (following the action-packed and otherwise unrelated teaser typical of Bond films) is a theme song, "Firewall", performed in the style of Bond film opening. The Shirley Bassey-esque singing is provided by local jazz singer Jane Mortifee, who is uncredited; as a result, for a long time many wrongly assumed it was Shirley Millner, who plays Hexadecimal.
- Neck Lift: Megabyte does this to Enzo when telling him to deliver his message.
- Oh, Crap!: Hack and Slash over being confronted by Frisket.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: One that leaves Enzo in a lousy mood for much of the episode.Enzo: I am a Guardian! I'm not your messenger.
Megabyte: You are what you have always been: a mere delivery boy! [grabbing him] Do not provoke me further. It is by my will alone you survive this encounter. You would be well-advised to remember that! [throws him to the ground] Now, listen carefully, boy. - Shout-Out:
- The setting of the game looks like Andy's bedroom from Toy Story.
- James Bond; The opening is similar to the opening to certain Bond films, and when Enzo reboots in the game, he's in a tuxedo and says, "The name's Matrix. Guardian Matrix." with a distinct accent.
- Wacky Races; the user looks like Penelope Pitstop. When Cyrus reboots, he's dressed like Dick Dastardly, complete with mustache, with Frisket looking like Muttley, complete with snicker!
- At one point, as Enzo, Cyrus, and Frisket are chasing the User, they are stopped by a massive pursuit of police cars chasing a white SUV, referencing the pursuit of O.J. Simpson until he reached his home and surrendered willingly to LAPD, sheriff's deputies, and CHP.
- Special Edition Title: The usual opening credits are replaced with a James Bond-style sequence set to a song titled "Firewall".
