Megabyte wants Bob to do him a little favor. When Bob refuses, Megabyte sends a squad of toughs to tear up Dot's Diner, and Bob is forced to confront the virus lord.

- An Offer You Can't Refuse: Megabyte makes it clear that if Bob doesn't see him, he'll continue to harass Dot's Diner.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Megabyte demonstrates he can infect and take control of the User's character in games, something he never does again, at least until The Guardian Code.
- Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Averted. Megabyte knows he can put the screws in Bob by going after his friends and keeping him out of games (thus ensuring the User wins them and nullifies Sprites).
- Indy Ploy: As Dot admits, she didn't have a plan to rescue Bob. She let Hack and Slash capture her, knowing they would take her directly to Megabyte, and planned to improvise from there. Hearing this, Bob remarks that Dot has been spending too much time with him.
- Sore Loser: After the game is won and the tear is no longer stable, Megabyte extends his claws and approaches Dot.Megabyte: Do you want to see how much I hate to lose?
- We Can Rule Together: Megabyte offers this.Megabyte: You don't have to fight me, Bob. Think about it. We could be a great team.
Bob: I'd rather be erased.
Megabyte: Your choice. [extends claws]
