• Bitch Slap: Yan Wushi gives Yu Ai one across the face via a small qi blast, because he's appalled at how Yu Ai would still call Shen Qiao by his Affectionate Nickname in spite of betraying him.
• Curbstomp Battle: It's made obvious that the fight between Yan Wushi and Yu Ai only lasted as long as it did because Yan Wushi didn't bother to get any more serious. When he does place in a bit more effort, Yu Ai ends up with a few damaged meridians while Yan Wushi doesn't even break a sweat from the exchange.
• Everyone Has Standards: Yan Wushi is not the most altruistic person but even he expresses some level of distaste for the underhanded measures that Yu Ai took to become the regent sect leader.
• I Told You So: Yan Wushi reminds Shen Qiao of what he told him before about how humans will always put personal interests over morals and integrity.
• Pass the Popcorn: When Yan Wushi sees that Shen Qiao still has plenty of things to talk about with his martial brothers, he jumps off and perches on the side of the building to watch them continue their conversation.
