Matt, Abby and Connor have to deal with a pack of Hyaenodon on the loose at the same manor house where their former colleague Jenny Lewis is getting married. At the same time, Becker and Jess try to track down time-travelling anarchist Ethan.
- Mama Bear: The Hyaenodon adults are extremely protective of their young.
- Mood Whiplash: Connor comes running into the middle of the wedding, insisting everyone needs to run for their lives. One of the Hyaenodon pups follows him in and starts barking, causing those in attendance to laugh. Then the two adults come storming in and everyone promptly panics.
- Oh, Crap!: Jenny when she realises Abby and Connor haven't come to surprise her for her wedding.
- The wedding planner when the mother of the Hyaenodon pups she's cooing over reveals itself.
- Also Connor when he ends up trapped in the cellar with the female Hyaenodon on one side of the door and her pups calling for her on the other.
