On the day after the Carboniferous bug house mission, Jack has an important meeting with Kyle and Nikolai to discuss the plan the head keeper and chief of security have come up with for the sake of heightened park security that they need his help to make a reality.
- Introduced Species Calamity: Discussed in the narrative in regards to the potential ecological harm that the male torvosaurus could have caused to the everglades if it had successfully escaped the park's boundaries over the course of its Escaped Animal Rampage in Return of the King.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Lampshaded by Nikolai about Jack once again as it was near the end of Alien Empire.
- The Reveal: As it turns out, the 'special plan' for park security that Nikolai and Kyle were indicated to have agreed upon was for Jack to train the dromaeosaurus to serve as 'guard dogs' for the security guards to use in rounding up escaped animals.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Despite having managed to agree upon the plan together, this is revealed to very much still be the case between Kyle and Nikolai at the end of the chapter when they part ways after Jack's departure.
