- Almost Kiss: Wes and Jen were about to kiss until the phone rang.
- Big Brother Mentor: When a dazed Trip arrives to the Clock Tower and reveals he is in love with a girl. Lucas becomes surprised at this and encourages him to go for it. Too bad he didn't know they were in love with the same girl.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Under Contemptra's love spell, Wes, Lucas and Trip fight obsessibly over her, even while Ransik is destroying the city.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Jen was angry when seeing Wes with Angelique, became happy when Circuit revealed to her that Wes was actually under a love spell and furiously fought and froze Contemptra.
- Groin Attack: Wes nearly ram his sword between Trip's legs.
- Love Dodecahedron: Contemptra put Wes, Lucas, and Trip under a love spell (and are even fighting each other for her). Jen, who has feeling for Wes, feels jealous, and Wes has feelings for Jen as well.
- Nerds Are Sexy: Angelique flirts with Trip by disguising herself as a Nerdy girl with a remote control robot.
- Sarcasm Mode: Ransik when confronted by Jen and Katie.Ransik: Ohh, Girl Power, I'm frightened.
- Single-Target Sexuality: When "Angelique" tries to flirt with Wes, he politely rejects her, saying that he actually liked another girl (which was later revealed to be Jen). Too bad that "Angelique" still resorted to forcefully put him under her love spell.
- Skewed Priorities: Wes, Lucas and Trip refused to help Jen and Katie to fight Ransik to keep fighting for "Angelique". Justified, as they were under a love spell.
- Tsundere: Wes thinks Jen took it personally with Contemptra, since he never seen her fought that hard before.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Eric is absent in this episode and for some reason Contemptra didn't attempt to seduce him as she did with the other male Rangers.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Jen chews out the boys for not coming to help her and Katie over a girl.
- Wounded Gazelle Gambit: Angelique draws Lucas's attention by pretending to be a helpless lady with a broken car.
