With his time nearly ending, Diabolico sends Thunderon and Falkar to destroy the Rangers once and for all. When the Rangers struggle with two powerful Demons, will Ryan defy his father's wishes and pilot his new Zord?
Tropes in this episode include:
- Blatant Lies: "Oh, er, Diabolico. I was just saying how I wish I could be up there helping Thunderon right now." Well, never let it be said Diabolico doesn't grant his minions their wishes...
- Combat Pragmatist: The Rangers play possum in order to lure Thunderon close enough to do him in. For Power Rangers, where Honor Before Reason is usually the name of the game, this is astoundingly underhanded. But given Thunderon and Falkar otherwise hand them their behinds, they're desperate.
- Dirty Coward: Falkar plans to let the grown Thunderon beat the tar out of the Rangers, then steal the credit. Diabolico has other ideas.
- Make My Monster Grow: It's Diabolico who makes Falkar grow, by throwing the growth card into his back. Judging by the noises Falkar makes, the growing's pretty painful.
- Oh, Crap!:
- Falkar, when he realizes the boss demon is right behind him, and has just heard his plan to steal the credit.
- The fight has made the cobra tattoo drawn much closer to Ryan's neck. The next time he morphs, it will kill him.
- Post-Victory Collapse: Ryan finishes off Thunderon and Falkar, but the pain from the tattoo causes him to pass out.
