- The Artifact: During the battle against Tankenstein, there are at least two shots that show the Mega Voyager fighting close to a big, red brick building. This was the Megarangers' high school, as they were fighting to protect it anyway despite the whole town (including their classmates) shunning them after Dr. Hinelar exposed their secret identities.
- Bittersweet Ending: The Space Rangers manage to defeat Tankenstein, but the Mega Voyager is destroyed in the process, leaving them with just the Megaship to fight Astronema's forces.
- Curb Stomp Cushion: The Mega Voyager manages to blast off one of Tankenstein's arms, but he just regrows a new one.
- Ignore the Disability: The editors tried their best to cut around the Mega Voyager losing an arm during the battle; this despite Tankenstein losing one with no problem (maybe because they couldn't regrow it?).
- Punny Name: Tankenstein is clearly a place on "Frankenstein".
- Sentient Vehicle: Tankenstein is a robotic monster that can take on the form of a humvee.
- Shout-Out: Tankenstein's tactic of relentlessly pursuing his victims and barging through everything without taking a scratch, along with the suspenseful nature of his attacks, seems directly out of Christine.
- Taking You with Me: The Rangers basically sacrifice the already-damaged Mega Voyager to stop Tankenstein, taking both up into the air so that Tankenstein explodes, while the Rangers survive the return to Earth battered but alive.
