A last-ditch effort to restore himself to normal left Tommy in a coma. While the Rangers deal with a resurrected White Terrorsaurus, Tommy has a dream of being confronted by three beings from his past.
Tropes
- Adventures in Comaland: Tommy fights most of his previous Ranger forms after ending up in a coma.
- Battle in the Center of the Mind: Tommy has three: Zeo Red, and the White and Green Mighty Morphin' Rangers.
- Big Damn Heroes: During the climax, Tommy kicks Terrorsaurus aside.
- Brought Down to Normal: Terrorsaurus steals the other Rangers' powers.
- Continuity Nod: The White Ranger mentions Angel Grove.
- Evil Laugh: The White Ranger indulges in this ahead of his fight with Tommy.
- Honor Before Reason:
- Cassidy is pressured to do an on-air condemnation of the Rangers for seemingly abandoning the city. She refuses.
- The de-powered Rangers going to face Terrorsaurus.
- Lampshade Hanging: The White Ranger mockingly notes that Tommy finally cut his hair.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Since Tommy lost the powers way back in Season 2, the Green Ranger greets him with, "It's been a while, Tommy."
- Leitmotif: The Dragon Dagger music plays during Tommy's fight with the Green Ranger.
- Manly Tears: Conner was absolutely averting this trope in the last scene and Ethan was completely wrong to suggest otherwise.
- Mid-Season Upgrade: Tommy gains Super Dino Mode.
- Morality Chain: It was Devin's refusal to take part in an on-air condemnation of the Rangers that convinced Cassidy it was a bad idea.
- Rule of Symbolism: The past versions of Tommy are noticeably shorter than his Dino Thunder self, he literally grew up.
- Secret Test of Character: Tommy's about to lose to the Green Ranger, but he says he'll never give up fighting. The Green Ranger then ceases attacking and tells him he passed the test. The three Ranger forms explain to Tommy that all of this was him fighting for his life and that that determination has proven to be stronger than any Ranger power.
- So Proud of You: Tommy to the other Rangers for sticking by him through all this and persevering.
- This Cannot Be!: Tommy's reaction to being confronted by the Red Zeo Ranger. Happens again when he faces the White Ranger, but he's not surprised when the Green Ranger turns up.
