Devon must save his friends after Scrozzle hypnotizes the other Beast Morphers Rangers into believing that they are the characters they dressed up as for Halloween. Meanwhile, a fork-themed Robotron attempts to hijack a Morph-X tanker truck.
This episode takes place between "Tuba Triumph" and "Sound and Fury".
Episode Tropes:
- Becoming the Costume: Not in a literal sense, since Zoey, Ravi, Steel, and Nate don't physically change. However, Scrozzle's hypnosis makes them think they are who they're dressed up as.
- Call-Back:
- A bunch of them, deliberately, this being a Holiday special clip show episode.
- Also, the shield that protects the zords when they're forming the Megazord (as first seen in "Hangar Heist") shows up again.
- Chewing the Scenery: Jacqueline Scislowski seems to be having too much fun as Ingrid the Viking
- Clip Show: Beast Morphers continues the tradition led by the Neo-Saban era seasons by making the episode this.
- Halloween Episode: As per other episodes about Halloween, this episode takes place around the holiday with the Rangers dressing up in costumes.
- Mind-Control Eyes: While being hypnotized, the Rangers' eyes (including Steel's) become big blue swirls.
- Near-Villain Victory: Spikedrone and the Delta Gigadrone come within seconds of destroying the Wheeler Zord, before the Wrecker and Jet Zords stop them.
- Oh, Crap!: Devon's reaction when he realizes the other Rangers have been hypnotized.
- Took a Level in Badass: The Delta Gigadrone in this episode is much, much more powerful than the one that spawned in "Tools of the Betrayed".
- What the Hell Is That Accent?:
- Ravi is made to think he’s Sherlock Holmes, complete with some bizarre attempt at a British accent.
- But it still has nothing next to Zoey’s decision to give her psychologist persona a southern accent.
