Recap / Popee The Performer S 3 E 8 Opening

Go To

Opening is the 34th episode of Popee the Performer, and the 8th episode of Season 3. The airdate is unknown.

Popee, Kedamono, and Papi attempt to do their own versions of the Theme Tune's music video, but none of their attempts feels right to Papi.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Animated Actors: Popee and Kedamono perform the visuals of the opening, while Papi directs them on what's right or wrong.
  • Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better: Papi turns down any options that don’t include him.
  • Bragging Theme Tune: While the song hasn't changed a bit, Popee's version of the music video has him as the only star (save for a cameo by Paola), the drawings in the back are now silhouettes of Popee, and the image compilation is now just pictures of Popee. Surprisingly, this doesn't go over too well with Papi.
  • Comical Overreaction: Papi lodges his extremely sharp headpiece in Popee’s face for trying to do things his own way.
  • Died Happily Ever After: After Papi accidentally crushes two love-struck scorpions, their souls both fly off to Heaven together.
  • The Face of the Sun: During the climax with the complete alternate music video, Papi's head replaces the sun.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: When Papi steps on the scorpion, he discovers that another scorpion felt love for the scorpion he crushed. This makes him feel absolutely terrible.
  • Rearrange the Song: Downplayed. While the three aren't trying to change the song as a whole, they are trying to put their own spin on the music video for the song.
  • Repeat Cut: We get one when Popee shows Kedamono his album. Each time the clip repeats, the screen zooms in on the album cover more.
