After their brief detour, Flash's group reach a lake, where they decide to fish for Water-Type Pokémon. Unfortunately, troubles brews when old and new antagonists show up.
- Bittersweet Ending: Lightning ends up catching the Sharazor and increasing his threat level to Flash in future battles, but it also means that Lock and Salina's lake is freed from it's threatening presence and business can resume there again.
- Heroes Gone Fishing: The crux of this chapter is Flash's effort to catch some Water-Type Pokémon, since the Gym Leader in Baltimare City specializes in Rock-Type Pokémon, who have a weakness for the aforementioned type. Unfortunately, the seemingly lax day gets ruined when Lightning shows up, smug as ever, and when a hostile Sharazor attacks them.
- It's All About Me: When Lightning captures Sharazor for himself, he claims all the credit for taking it down, even though it was Flash's previous battle that softened it enough for Lightning to capture.
- Kill Steal: Lightning ends up catching Sharazor himself after Flash and his friends did the hard part of weakening it previously. Lightning acts like he earned the catch all on his own, even though he put in the least work for it.
- Threatening Shark: According to Lock and Salina, the Sharazor has been terrorizing their lake for weeks, destroying their boats and scaring away any other Pokémon on its turf.
