Stopping at a town just outside of Applewood City, the group meet Sunset Shimmer and Trixie and learn Celestia and Luna have been invited to give a lecture in town, but find the sisters are at each other’s throats over it.
- A Day in the Limelight: Professor Celestia and Luna are the main focus of the chapter, with their pasts being explored and how Luna feels overshadowed compared to Celestia in everything.
- Double Knockout: Celestia's Suncess and Luna's Primoon basically counter each other move for move through the whole battle, resulting in a draw.
- Duels Decide Everything: Invoked by Flash. In order to get Celestia and Luna to settle their dispute he proposes that the two of them battle each other, and the loser agrees to cut some of their material from the lecture so it can all fit into the allotted time. The sisters both agree to these terms. The battle ends in a draw, but both sisters have already battled out their feelings and make up with each other, deciding to compromise and cut a bit of both of their material.
- Ear Ache: Twilight drags Flash away by the ear when Sunset starts flirting with him, wishing him luck in his next Gym Battle.
- Not So Above It All: The two professors spend almost the entire time bickering with each other like children. When Flash proposes his idea they settle this with a battle, they both eagerly agree, confident they can beat the other.
- This Is Something He's Got to Do Himself: Twilight and Doc both say Flash needs to learn to control Hopper himself, since he is acting as both Hopper's trainer and Parental Substitute.
