An out-of-control alien spaceship circles around planet Earth enough times to make it spin faster than usual, in turn causing time to go faster for Goat Village and confusing everyone with its effects.
"Happy Time" contains the following tropes:
- Alien Episode: While the alien doesn't actually land on Earth, it's still responsible for starting the plot of the episode (by accident, but still).
- All Just a Dream: Mr. Slowy wakes up and realizes the whole episode was just a dream he had.
- Cock-a-Doodle Dawn: Every time the sun rises in the morning, it's heralded by a rooster crowing. Since time going faster causes the mornings to come and go at a much quicker pace than usual, the rooster eventually gets tired from crowing so much and gives up. Twice.
- Counting Sheep: Attempted by Mr. Slowy, who is interrupted by the abrupt change of the time of day to the morning.
- *Crack!* "Oh, My Back!": Variant. Elderly Wolffy gets angry at the grown-up goats and cracks his hip in the process.
- Hairstyle Inertia: Weslie's wool "hairdo" does not change when the quicker passing of time makes him age into an adult. Averted with the other adult goats, who do sustain some sort of change with their wool "hair".
- Or Was It a Dream?: The episode's The End card has Wolffy, still old from the rapid passing of time, crying for help. This is after Mr. Slowy wakes up and realizes the rapid time-passing stuff was just a dream.
- Rapid Aging: Planet Earth spinning faster than is normal eventually causes everyone to age more swiftly, with Weslie and the other goats becoming grown-ups and Wolffy getting to be quite elderly.
- Solar-Powered Magnifying Glass: Wolffy tries to fire his cannon by using a magnifying glass to concentrate the sun's rays on the fuse to light it. It fails because nighttime falls before the cannon can shoot and the cooler temperature puts the fire out.
- Spin the Earth Backwards: Inverted. An alien spacecraft brushing by Planet Earth and causing it to spin faster in its normal direction is what causes time to go faster.
- Why Don't You Marry It?: Wolnie gets angry at Wolffy for coming back into Wolf Castle so quickly, thinking he doesn't want to catch any goats. She hits him out of the castle and into the sky with her frying pan, shouting "If you like goats so much, why don't you marry one?!" as he flies off into the distance.
