• A Day in the Limelight: Piper gets one starting with how she got the tattoo on the back of her neck. Alex has one as well.
• The Bus Came Back: It's the first time since season 2 that we've seen Carol, Piper's mother. Also the first time even in flashbacks that we've seen Larry.
• Get Out!: Taystee kicks Fig and Caputo out after her demands for Bayley's arrest aren't met.
• Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Taystee successfully negotiates with Figueroa to get all but one demand of the prisoners met by the Governor. However, the state could not promise to give Bayley a prison sentence for the death of Poussey before an investigation was launched. She sends Figueroa away, counting on the Governor to send her back in to meet the final demand. He doesn't. The SWAT team is sent in, taking all offers off the table and sending the prisoners to currently unknown locations.
  • Also Maria and Gloria. They started freeing the guards to get their own demands met, which may have unraveled Taystee's entire negotiation even if she hadn't unraveled it herself.
• Oh, Crap!: Taystee let's a "Fuck!" out when she learns the hostages got out.
• Potty Emergency: While Pidge is throwing up from snorting coffee, Ouija has it coming out the other end.
• Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Pidge throws up from the effects of snorting coffee.
• Relationship Upgrade: Piper and Alex get engaged.
