Recap / One Hundred And One Dalmatian Street S 1 E 33 Diamond Dogs

Go To

Dolly and Dylan panic when Dorothy appears to have stolen Clarissa's new collar, so they plan to sneak into Clarissa's house to return the collar.

This episode features examples of:

  • Cutting the Knot: When trying to get into the chest room, Dolly and Dylan try to figure out the code to get in. When that doesn't work, Dolly gets Diesel to ram his head into the door, knocking it open.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • When Clarissa is gushing about her new collar at the start of the episode, Stanislav can be seen in the background, foreshadowing the true source of the collar.
    • Considering Clarissa's security, the fact that Dorothy was able to get the collar suggests something is up.
  • Heist Episode: Inverted, as it's more what Dolly calls a reverse heist. The Dalmatians aren't trying to steal something from Clarissa, but to return something.
  • It's the Journey That Counts: Dolly, Diesel and the Dimitri Trio assure Dylan of this when he realizes the entire reverse heist was pointless.
  • Laser Hallway: Dolly needs to go through one to get to the chest.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: When Dolly and Dylan accidentally trigger the alarm, they try to escape through the hole they dug, only to find that the Dimitri Trio have filled it in with Clarissa's stuff in order to "tidy up."
  • Oddly Common Rarity: Clarissa claims her collar is one of a kind, only to learn that they are literally being sold in bulk by Stanislav, to the point where practically everyone has one.
  • One Last Job: Big Fee says this exact phrase when she agrees to advise the reverse heist.
  • Papa Wolf: Dolly and Dylan use a trigger word against Clarissa after she upsets Dorothy. More so, the fact that it's Dylan's idea.
  • Wham Shot:
    • When Dolly opens the chest to return Clarissa's collar... only it's already in there.
    • When Clarissa realizes that Pearl is also wearing an identical collar.
