During their trip to Florida, Athena and Bobby work a cold case involving her childhood friend from 1977.
- Accidental Murder: Averted. Reggie Sr. said that his son told him that Tanya's death was an accident and that he didn't mean to kill her, and is shocked to learn Junior didn't stop with Tanya.
- Alone with the Psycho: As the local detective and Athena piece together the case, Tanya's surviving older sister Joanne is held at gunpoint by Reggie Jr.
- A Day in the Limelight: Athena and Bobby are the only characters to appear in this episode, and the focus is on Athena.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Reggie Sr.'s reaction when he finds out that covering up Tanya's murder allowed Reggie Jr. to go on to kill 6 more girls.
- Nothing but Hits: The flashback sequences feature "Lilac Wine", "Easy", and "Rubberband Man", that last one which is heard in-universe at a party where Tanya, Athena's friend, goes missing.
- Serial Killer / Serial Rapist: Reggie Jr. raped and killed six other girls after Tanya over the years.
- The '70s: The flashbacks take place in 1977.
- Time-Shifted Actor: Ayaamii Sledge plays 9-year old Athena in the 1977 flashback.
