Owen Elliot from NikitaS1E5TheGuardian The Guardian is back and asks Nikita's help. He leaked the video of the assassination of a Chilean politician from the black box in order to draw out Percy.
This however leads to Ryan Fletcher, a CIA analyst who has found evidence of Division and has started asking questions Percy doesn't like, to be framed for the assassination and send to Chile to be killed. Nikita and Owen travel to Chile to save Ryan, however all three of them are caught by the US Army.
On the flight back to the US, Nikita and Owen tell Ryan about Division, and Owen gives him a memory stick with enoughevidence for Ryan to prove himself innocent and that Division exists. Ryan then helps Nikita and Owen escape the plane.
Owen's plan works somewhat, and Alex finds out that there is another black box in London. Nikita destroys the first one, and Owen goes to London, promising to call when he finds something.
Tropes
- Awesome by Analysis: Ryan is a CIA analyst and the only person so far that figured out Division's existence without being told.
- Bad Boss: Percy calls in the Engineer, a genius computer programmer, to tighten up the security on the black boxes. After the Engineer teaches Birkhoff all he needs to know, Percy kills him per neck snap.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Nikita and Owen. Despite the fact that Owen killed Nikita's fiance, she calls him her partner (much to Owen's surprise) and at the end of the episode it's clear that they will continue to fight Division as just that.
- Remember the New Guy?: Ryan Fletcher might seem like an one off character, but he will become an important recurring character and come season 3, a main character.
