You Can Come Up Now, Mrs. Millikan

A luckless inventor, Henry Millikan, comes up with a most impressive idea — a serum to resurrect the dead — and tests it on his wife Helena. But the plan goes horribly awry.

  • Chekhov's Skill: Inverted; Helena Millikan's flaw of being late doing anything comes up multiple times before the ending, when she resurrects late.
  • Driven to Suicide: Henry kills himself in the face of being punished for murder and having to live the rest of his life without his beloved wife. Unfortunately, it turns out that the serum he created works; his wife was just late, as usual.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Henry tries to revive his dead, forgetful wife who was late for everything. The experiment appears to fail and he kills himself. Hours later, she finally comes back to life and asks where her husband is.
  • Guinea Pig Family: Henry tests his serum by poisoning Helena and attempting to revive her.
  • I Lied: Mr. Millikan's nephew tells him that he told a lie when he promised to wait three hours before telling anyone about his aunt's death. He called the police and they will be here shortly.

Smile, Please

A photographer finds out something shocking about her client during a photo shoot.

  • Friendly Neighborhood Vampire: Despite claiming vampires can be quite hostile when awake, he is nothing but congenial to the photographer and agrees to have his photo taken for her.
  • The Reveal: The man posing for the photo is a vampire.
