Go To

With time running out, Nancy and her friends come up with a plan that they think might help reverse the curse that the Aglaeca placed on them.

Tropes:

  • Auto Erotica: George and Nick finally find a way to do it without interruption. They get down in Nick's truck, reclaiming it from the Aglaeca.
  • Bad "Bad Acting": "YOU FOUND A HUMAN BONE AT THE AGLAECA?!"
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: The orphanage gang asked the Aglaeca to make sure the little girl survived the crash, but they couldn't pay the toll.
  • Death Seeker: Having tried to kill Hannah Gruen, AJ wanders off into the dark, ready to die after 44 years of nightmares.
  • Four Is Death: AJ has been trapped for 44 years.
  • The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You: The last shot is of the Aglaeca turning her head to look at the camera.
  • Hope Spot: The episodes ends with the discovery that maybe AJ's 44 year nightmare wasn't All for Nothing; he may have found a solution in the construction of a dybbuk box.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: Bess is confident the curse has been reversed, cue the crew entering the diner to see it trashed and scattered with Lucy's remains.
    AJ: No return policy.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: AJ and his friends were driving stupid fast, crashed into a car, killed the parents, horribly burned their daughter, Hannah.
  • Oblivious Guilt Slinging: Ace's dad asks him to come by for Shabat dinner. When Ace says he has plans, his dad just replies, "The great thing about Shabat is it happens every week, I'll see you next Friday.", which causes Ace to realize he doesn't have a week and agrees to dinner this week.
  • Oh, Crap!: AJ freaks out when Nancy brings up his old Aglaeca crew.
  • Police Are Useless: Especially so when they arrest AJ before he can answer any questions.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: AJ found a way to survive the Aglaeca, but not to beat her. He lives alone in a tiny cabin surrounded by wards and talismans she can't get past. On a regular basis (presumably every seven days) she shows up and tries again.
  • The Unreveal: We don't learn what toll the Aglaeca asked of the orphanage gang.
