Tropes

  • Artistic License – Cars: OnStar helps Gibbs locate a Jeep Cherokee. At the time, OnStar was only available for General Motors vehicles, which a Jeep Cherokee most definitely is not.
  • Celebrity Paradox: This particular one involving Scott Bakula would not have been detected until years after the episode first aired. The victim presumably watched Quantum Leap on TV. Scott Bakula plays the protagonist on Quantum Leap, it's still his most famous rôle after all these years. Bakula went on to play NCIS Special Agent Dwayne Pride on four episodes of NCIS and also as the main character of NCIS: New Orleans.
  • Shout-Out: The victim collects TV show-themed lunch boxes. Three of those TV shows, Airwolf, Magnum, P.I. and Quantum Leap were created by Donald P. Bellisario, who also created JAG and NCIS.
