The fifth and final match begins but, as Midoriya faces Monoma, something unexpected happens to his One For All that may put everyone in danger.
Tropes
- Berserk Button: Shinsou lampshades this when patrolling the field with Monoma, remembering that he trapped Midoriya with his brainwashing by taunting him during the Sports Festival. When Monoma tries it by loudly blaming Bakugou for causing All Might's retirement, it works a little too well to trip up Midoriya and make him mad, resulting in the below Wham Shot.
- Cooldown Hug: Uraraka attempts this on Midoriya in mid-air, only managing to succeed when Shinsou compels Midoriya to fight him, which temporarily knocks the latter unconscious and makes the tendrils recede back into his arm.
- Wham Shot: Midoriya prepares to use Air Force, only to have strange black tendrils coming out of his hand.
