As everyone begins to reunite, MK faces off with not only The Curse, but his own inner demons, uncovering more and more of the hidden truths about himself as the battle rages on.

- Armor-Piercing Response: MK attempting to assert that The Curse isn’t real and is just messing with him gets him one of these.MK: You’re not real! You’re just the curse of the scroll, trying to get all up inside of my head! Just like —The Curse: — The Lady Bone Demon?
- Evil All Along: Azure Lion appears to release MK and his friends from the scroll — but keeps Monkey King trapped. As MK hesitantly asks where Monkey King is, the others get into defensive positions, and Azure silently glares at them in a sinister light.
- Hannibal Lecture: MK is on the receiving end of this from the scroll’s protective curse, who taunts him over not knowing his true nature as a mystical monkey — and more so, that no matter how hard he tries to be a hero, it claims that all the evidence suggests he's truly predestined to go down a path of worldly destruction.The Curse: Last I checked, all this happened because of US. We said it ourselves: We released Demon Bull King from the underworld, we gave gave Spider Queen the means to dominate the city, and WE gave Lady Bone Demon the opportunity to wreck havoc on the world! [...] We’re just like Wukong; a fraud! A trickster! Destructive! Why would our legacy be any different? Actually, no, no — the chaos and destruction that we’ll bring upon the world will make Wukong’s past look like nothing. - Shut Up, Hannibal!: Subverted when Monkey King gives a Rousing Speech about how despite The Curse's insistence they are all doomed to fall to their flaws and past mistakes, they can grow and move past who they were, with The Curse accurately noting none of them truly believe that. Becomes Double Subverted when Mei retorts they can "fake it till they make it", and try to live up to the words anyway.
- Wham Episode: MK’s true nature (as a part-monkey being) comes to light — as does Azure Lion’s.
