MK is awarded a magical key that can open anything, him and Mei goofing off with it while the Demon Bull Family want it for their own intentions.
Tropes:
- All Your Base Are Belong to Us: As MK and Mei rest after their spree, Red Son ambushes them and takes the key. He reveals that he has been waiting for MK all day in his own apartment, and almost feels sorry for the place's condition.
- The Bad Guy Wins: The Demon Bull Family succeed at stealing the key and opening the tomb they unearthed, which gives them the power to take over the city. However, the power begins to change DBK...
- Curb-Stomp Battle: MK and Mei make quick work of Red Son. The same can't be said about his mother, Princess Iron Fan, who beats them quick enough to get the key.
- Literal Metaphor: The key given to MK by the "mayor" can indeed unlock, and even control, anything; stores, vehicles, cheats/debugs in video games or forbidden chests. It can even lock them too and render their own keys or unlocking methods useless, like Pigsy's shop.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The Demon Bull family use the titular key to open the tomb they unearthed, believing it to be a power source - having no idea that it actually was made to trap an evil entity who will go on the be the show’s Big Bad.
