Air date: November 2, 2021note

"Mouse in the Treehouse":note  Molly and Tooey build a treehouse, but Mouse the cat keeps escaping and interrupting their work.

"Mouse in the Treehouse" contains the following tropes:

  • Cat Up a Tree: Mouse gets stuck in the tree above the treehouse while fleeing a fox and refuses to come down until Tooey lifts his favorite nap spot, an old hockey helmet, up to where Mouse can easily jump into it.
  • Continuity Cavalcade: Molly and Tooey decorate their treehouse with several items from the first season, including the trading post flag from "Brand New Flag," the suncatchers from "Molly's Valentine's Day Disaster," and the glow-in-the-dark jar lanterns from "Ice Sculpture."
  • Idiosyncratic Wipes: At one point, Mr. Patak "sweeps" away one scene to transition to another.

"Leader of the Pack": Tooey is having a hard time training his future lead dog Kih.

"Leader of the Pack" contains the following tropes:

  • The Bet: Jay motivates Tooey to train Kih to ignore distractions by making a bet with him. If Tooey is successful, he will be allowed to wear Jay's signed Kamaka Hepa jersey for one week.
  • Call-Back: Tooey visits Mr. Rowley again for training advice, since it was his advice that allowed Tooey to pick Kih as a potential lead dog.
  • Come Back, My Pet!: Suki is initially used to help train Kih in new skills, but she ends up being a bigger distraction than an asset, so Tooey asks Molly to keep her home until he's made progress with Kih's training. But when Kih falls into the river, it's Suki who jumps in to save him. As a result, Tooey starts to use Suki as a play reward for Kih's training.
  • Foreshadowing: Kamaka Hepa is a favorite real-life basketball player of the characters in the show. Jay has a signed jersey from him. Hepa later appears in "Basketball Blues," where he voices himself.
  • Imagine Spot: Jay promises to loan Tooey his Kamaka Hepa jersey if Tooey is successful in training Kih. Tooey immediately starts fantasizing about the jersey giving him Improbable Sports Skills.
  • Sarcasm Mode: Jay asks Tooey how training Kih is going while Kih is busy chewing on the cuff of Tooey's jeans.
Tooey: Oh, great! Eat those pants, boy!
  • Series Continuity Error: In "Puppy Palooza," Molly named Tooey's lead puppy Kih Dihdii, meaning "first one," and the spelling was shown on Kih's doghouse. But in this episode, the pup's name is spelled Khi on Tooey's training chart.
