- It Amused Me: It's obvious that Jin Zixuan's dog chased after Wei Wuxian because it thought it was fun, given the smirk it makes after watching Wei Wuxian run away.
- Missed Him by That Much: While Wei Wuxian comments about how Lan Wangji never saw him and happily skips away, Lan Wangji is actually hiding behind a tree, watching Wei Wuxian leave.
- Pet the Dog: Although Lan Wangji does punish Wei Wuxian for sneaking in alcohol, he lists Wei Wuxian breaking the rule of no drinking of alcohol in the Cloud Recesses as his only offense, and not how he broke the other rules such as breaking curfew or causing noise.
