• Bullying a Dragon: Even if Fmelvin was their Butt-Monkey, the other Fmecks shouldn’t have started laughing at him for being too big. It’s only dumb luck that Fmelvin decides to attack New York City to spite them instead of killing them on the spot.
• Butt-Monkey: Fmelvin, one of the Fmecks. His comrades sell his ship to Jeebs, gets trapped in MIB headquarters, and gets defeated easily by L when forced to fight hand-to-hand.
• Curb-Stomp Battle: J and K had very little trouble infiltrating the Fmeck mothership. This includes K swatting several of their fighter ships with his bare hands and J knocking a few trooper down like bowling pins by spitting a breath mint at them.
• Didn't Think This Through: After taking the growth serum, Fmelvin insists on still using his now tiny gun when he could just use a human-sized weapon from MIB headquarters. It comes back to bite him when L makes him lose it in the grass.
• From Nobody to Nightmare: Fmelvin was the Butt-Monkey among his Fmeck peers. After drinking a large quantity of the growth serum and being laughed at for being too big, he knocks the Fmeck mothership on its side before declaring to level all of New York City to the ground.
• Laser-Guided Karma: Three examples in this episode.
  • Jeebs received a ship from the Fmecks in exchange for him revealing the location of MIB headquarters. Said ship is destroyed by K when the latter tries to get information out of Jeebs. He gets another form of this trope later on in the episode when a giant Fmelvin (the owner of the ship) steps on him.
  • Fmelvin’s commander sells the former’s ship to Jeebs for information about MIB, then leaves him to fend for himself when they abduct one of the worms. Not only did he fail to abduct the professor, Fmelvin found the real growth serum.
  • The other Fmecks qualify as well when they start laughing at Fmelvin when he becomes gigantic. Fmelvin responds by knocking their mothership on its side, then proceeding to attack the city they were planning to live in when they get the growth serum.
• Revenge by Proxy: After being laughed at by his fellow Fmecks for being too big, Fmelvin decides to do this on New York City because they planned to live there.

Your Head A-Splode: Jeebs receives a Fmeck ship in exchange for indulging the location of MIB headquarters. When the ship accidentally flies into his mouth, K threatens to activate the ship’s self-destruct mechanism if he doesn’t reveal the location of the Fmeck. When Jeebs refuses to comply, K triggers the mechanism, causing the ship to explode and take Jeebs’ head with it. After regrowing his head, a furious Jeebs demands that K pay to the destroyed ship.
