- Mario just wants to use the toilet :(
- All for Nothing: Even after beating Papa John, the world was destroyed anyway because Mario waited too long to take a shit and blew the world up when he finally did.
- Dumbass Has a Point: When Fishy Boopkins tells Mario that the reason that everyone's causing the toilet paper to go out of stock was because the end of the world was near. Boopkins actually was right, but he didn't bother to tell Mario exactly why it was needed.
- Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Papa Johns' Four Horsemen that he summons to attack Mario are other restaurant mascots: Wendy, Ronald McDonald, Colonel Sanders, and The Burger King.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Mario beats Colonel Sanders by stealing his KFC Hammer and slamming the Colonel with it.
- Kamehame Hadoken: Wendys' primary attack relies on creating a large Burger and tossing it at her opponent.
- Kryptonite Factor: Papa John is weak to toilet paper because it absorbs grease.* Paper Tiger: The Burger King himself qualifies, since he is the only one of the Horsemen that doesn't seem to directly fight against Mario; only stomping on Marios' last roll of toilet paper. And after watching his fellow Horsemen get soundly beaten by the red plumber after doing that, the King opts to just run away.
- Pre-Mortem One-Liner: Mario to Ronald before giving the latter a Groin Attack and then using the Colonel's hammer to send him flying.* The Smurfette Principle: Wendy is the only one of Papa Johns' Horsemen who is a girl.
- The Unfought: Burger King is the only one of Papa Johns' Horsemen who doesn't directly fight against Mario; only crushing his roll of Toilet Paper while the other three Horsemen do the actual fighting. He is defeated not by Mario, but when Ronald's large sign is dropped on top of him, knocking him out.Mario: "No more happy meals for you."
