Magnum tries to buy back his father's watch from a pawn shop after selling it to refurbish Higgins' car (after she bled in it in the previous episode), only to learn that it's already been sold to someone else by mistake. To earn some Easy Money, both to buy the watch from its new owner and to keep Robin's Nest in the green, Higgins and Magnum agree to repossess an airplane, only learning after they take off in it that it was being used by a drug cartel that's willing to shoot them down.
Tropes:
- "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: In the end, it turns out that the person that bought Magnum's watch and motivated him to join the airplane case was Higgins herself, as an apology for him having to give it up for her; when Magnum asks why she didn't tell him earlier, she claims she had planned to have it professionally cleaned before giving it back to him, but he learned it was sold and started panicking before that went through.
- Hostage MacGuffin: It turns out that the plane wasn't containing drugs, but a drug runner in a hidden room, who was going to be flown to the mainland in order to testify against his employers. With Magnum and Higgins' help, he's able to survive and do his duty.
- MacGyvering: While they're taking shelter from the cartel in an abandoned marijuana farm, Higgins finds a radio with a dead battery. Noticing the farm also grew citrus, she's able to make a new power source by connecting a bunch of lemons together with wire in order to make contact with Rick and TC in the helicopter.
- Mud Wrestling: In order to keep the bar afloat, Rick proposes wrestling TC in gelatin, and already has a poster for it. The idea's shot down when it's pointed out how gross it would be.
