Having decided that he needs to help everyone to become a proper God, Lucifer summarizes that he has to help even people he does not care about. He chooses to help Carol, who is investigating the murder of a drag queen. In the process, he is roped into assisting Ella with a background check on Carol, to whom she is growing attached, to alleviate her insecurities of dating a man after the debacle with Pete. Meanwhile, Dan is visited by a mysterious female angel, who offers him a deal to go back to Earth in exchange for telling her how to kill Lucifer.
