"Belle" is the is the fifty-first episodenote  of Lilo & Stitch: The Series. It first aired on June 3, 2005.


The experiment of the episode:

  • Belle (X-248): A turquoise experiment with a pitchfork-shaped head and a lion-like tail who is designed to scare others with a loud, high-pitched shriek.

Tropes featured in this episode include:

  • An Aesop: Just because you can't prove what you believe in doesn't mean you should stop believing in it.
  • Meaningful Name: Belle gets her name because it's short for "decibel", a measurement of sound. However, there's also another layer of meaning to her name: she acts as the ringing bell of an alarm clock for Nani.
  • Real After All: Near the end of the episode it's revealed the Night Marchers are indeed real, at least for Mertle.
  • The Scream: Belle's ability is to let out a blood-curdling scream. She served to temporarily be Nani's alarm clock at the end so that she won't be late for work.
