The Leverage team explores the failing memory of a legendary grifter to try and find her greatest score before her abusive Elder Guardian gets his hands on it and takes over her life.
Tropes stolen in this job:
- Bittersweet Ending: Stella's Alzheimer's isn't going to get any better, but at least she'll spend the rest of her life being cared for by people who love her.
- Cool Old Lady: Stella is one as long as her memory is working.
- Domestic Abuser: Jo's husband was one of these.
- Elder Abuse: Phil is a frighteningly realistic case of this. He takes all of Stella’s stuff and sells it, while intending to sell her home and dump her in a nursing home. Even worse, he's already done the same thing to plenty of other victims.
- Shout-Out: Stella's nickname, "the Jackal", and Beaumont-sur-Mer, the briefly-mentioned site of one of her cons, are a reference to Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
- Stone Soup: Parker pretends to be unstable in order to create a distraction during part of the con.
