Leo and friends head to Germany in search of the fabled Brotherhood. Instead, they find a "Nicht Mart" who delivers bad dreams.


Tropes

  • Dem Bones: In one of the nightmares that Leo has in the episode (thanks to Nicht Mart), the Brothers Grimm appear to him as talking skeletons.
  • Dream Weaver: The Nicht Mart can induce nightmares in people with a touch, and it can personally appear in them to make things worse. If the victims realize they're dreaming, however, they can turn the tables on the monster within the dream.
  • My Greatest Failure: Convincing the people of Steinau to stand up to the Nicht Mart, only to run away as soon as it appeared, thus dooming the town to centuries of nightmares, was this for Don Andres.
  • Lost in Transmission: Upon finding the notebook of the Brothers Grimm from the Nicht Mart's lair, Leo believes that the rumors of them going mad before their death was true, as the last pages are filled with nothing but strange symbols. However, this turns out not to be the case as Teodora recognizes the symbols as Japanese kanji.
