As Josie adjusts to everyone at the school hating her, a new threat arrives courtesy of finding Excalibur.

- Excalibur in the Stone: After Wade refuses to give Excalibur to Nimue, who claims to want to hide it away from the Green Knight, the monster itself appears, and the sword flies away and lodges itself in a stone. Nimue says that only one who is worthy may use the sword to slay the monster. Everyone who hasn't run away tries to pick up the sword but can't, assuming that Hope is the only one who can. Nimue eventually explains that by "worthy" she means "of royal blood". In the end, Raf accidentally pulls the sword out and uses it to kill the Green Knight, and Nimue states that he's descended from King Arthur.
- Go into the Light: Landon is about to walk into the light after saying goodbye to Hope, when the Necromancer pulls him back. It seems that in order for him to get Josie's dark magic, Landon has to come back to life.
- Grail in the Garbage: Turns out that the legendary sword Excalibur, which united King Arthur kingdom, and is probably the most famous sword in existence... was just amongst a pile of weapons in the armory that Alaric gives to Wade to use as a LARPing prop.
- Hated by All: Not quite so bad as a few are with her like Lizzie but Josie is clearly not very popular with her classmates after her horrible actions.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Landon refuses to return to his body because then the Necromancer will get dark magic. Raf is even willing to bring him back in his own body, since then Landon's agreement isn't required. Landon changes his mind when he learns that Hope has been stuck in a self-induced coma because she doesn't want to deal with his death.
- Humble Goal: While leaving town Chad tells Alyssa that he intends to live his life to the fullest and his new goal is now to work his way up to being manager of the ice cream shop he used to work at. Sadly he dies not long afterwards.
- The Lady of the Lake: Nimue herself appears from Malivore to warn the students of the Green Knight who has come for Excalibur. She looks like a Fish Person with greenish skin and gills. After the Green Knight is slain, she tells Raf to keep Excalibur and leaves by turning into water.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Lizzie lashing out at Alyssa for picking on Josie and giving her a brutal "The Reason You Suck" Speech not only causes her to decide to ditch the group fighting the Green Knight but the school entirely. And because she fells like nobody at the school cares about her she likely wont have any compunctions with helping the Necromancer in whatever plans he has for the school.
- Poor Communication Kills:
- It turns out that Josie telling Lizzie she couldn't do magic wasn't just being reluctant, she literally closed off all access to her magic.
- The group lampshades how the Lady of the Lake assuming "being worthy" meant "being of royal blood" should have been clarified earlier.
- Public Domain Artifact: The sword Wade borrows from Alaric's office for some LARPing turns out to be Excalibur.
- Put on the Bus: At the end of the episode, Josie decides to leave the school for a little while and be with her mother, just like Lizzie when she was working out her issues.
- Sadistic Choice: After seeing Chad die Alyssa confronts the Necromancer who confirms that the same fate will befall her, giving her the choice of succumbing to a painful death or becoming his acolyte.
- Secret Legacy: Raf turns out to be a descendant of King Arthur. This is what allows him to pull Excalibur from the stone and slay the Green Knight.
- Surprisingly Sudden Death: When leaving town, Chad tells Alyssa that he plans to work up to being the manager of the ice cream shop. Then he suddenly projectile vomits blood and drops dead.
- You Can See Me?: Besides the Necromancer, only Raf and Chad are able to see and hear Landon's spirit. Presumably it's because both of them used to be slaves to the Necromancer.
