An aspiring actress accuses Sir Tobias Moore (Ian McShane), a powerful media mogul, of sexually assaulting her as payment for a promised role in one of his upcoming productions. The investigation intensifies as more potential victims are located, leading Benson to get involved in a judicial cat-and-mouse game with Moore. Meanwhile, Carisi's new position as ADA and Benson's promotion to Captain result in changes around the precinct.
Tropes
- Casting Couch: Tobias pressures all of his victims into sex, whether he gives them any parts in his movies or not, then buys off their silence.
- Continuity Nod: One of the pictures at Carisi's party has his Porn Stache from his first episode on the show.
- First Day from Hell: It's Carisi's first day as an A.D.A. and he has to deal with a high profile case involving a celebrity.
- Kicked Upstairs: Dodds has this happen to him by being transferred to Staten Island as the price for finally nailing Tobias.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Sir Tobias Moore, being a movie director who rapes actresses on the Casting Couch, is a substitute for Harvey Weinstein.
