  • Bittersweet Ending: Lindsey tragically takes her own life, but her death served as the catalyst for all of the students to wake up to all of the abuse happening on campus, which also resulted in Joe coming out and provide undisputable video evidence of Travis Holmes and his posse admitting to their crimes out of pride. All of the serial raping frats are arrested with the Dean and chief security being arrested with them for being accessories to their crimes, as a massive movement calling for change sweeps the campus.
  • Failure Knight: Rollins felt like this after learning of Lindsey's suicide. She knew she was going through Pink Cloud Syndrome when she suddenly decided to drop charges, but did nothing to help her.
  • Fiendish Fraternity: The fraternity is revealed to have many, many rape victims who are systematically disbelieved and mistreated by the university.
  • Gaslighting: Renee, a rape victim, was gaslit by her entire campus. They failed to support her emotionally, insisted that she was to blame for the rape, and never confronted the boy responsible for the rape. It was so bad that her depression became progressively worse and she agreed to EST (Electro-Shock Therapy) after her campus had her committed.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: As dismissive and useless as Leo is, he does bring up a valid point stating that he and the rest of Campus Police can't go around searching every room on campus on some kneejerk reaction.
  • Police Are Useless: The Campus Police are no help, and Chief Leo even tried to get SVU to turn a blind eye to the initial complaint.
Leo: These kids away from home for the first time, they're all out of control. I should turn in a guy every time a girl puts out and doesn't get flowers the next day?
    Rollins: Excuse me?
Leo: Listen, I'm just trying to keep these kids alive, all right? Make sure they don't drink and drive or OD or get knifed. I can't police their bedrooms.
  • Sinister Sorority Sisters: The episode begins with new pledges of a sorority being stripped down to their underwear, having the word "fat" written on their bodies in Sharpie, and being forced to eat cat food as part of a hazing ritual while the sisters laugh at them.
  • Token Good Teammate: Joe Dawson, who knew that all the rape and abuse he participated in was wrong, but was also gaslit by campus into thinking that his victim Alyson wanted it.
