Tropes
- The Bus Came Back: Malachi returns in this episode, to Jet's chagrin, having to uphold his end of the deal he made several episodes back to assist the Organized Crimes unit in exchange for leniency on his previous hacking crimes.
- Delaying Action: Kibride announces that he's building a new library in public, but at night, he meets with the contractors and tells them to delay finishing the building by any means, so that Webb can ask for more money.
- I Should Have Been Better: While McClane doesn't regret his hacking actions, he does legitimately feel bad about causing the death of a janitor (his hack trapped the janitor in a vault and he suffocated to death).
- Obfuscating Disability: Once again, Angela pretends to be disabled when she meets Stabler, but Stabler caught her when he pretended to spill a glass of water and Angela catches it too quickly.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork:
- The FBI brings in Wheatley to assist the OCCB. As you can imagine, Stabler does not take this well, but eventually works with him.
- Both Bell and Stabler insist on Jet bringing in Malachi when Rogin does not recognize the code, also stating that it is not in McClane's style. Jet is less than pleased in having to work with him again (though the feeling is mutual).
