- It Will Never Catch On: A man invents pants and everyone except for Shlub thinks they're ridiculous, and is in fact banned from the only bar in the city because of them. Even after wearing a pair for his Shaming the Mob speech, Tyrannis considers them uncomfortable.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: No one ever learns what Pants Guy's name was. The episode's synopsis reveals it to be Campos.
- Shaming the Mob: After Pants Guy leaves the city for being shunned and is eaten by a monster, Tyrannis enters into the square wearing pants and shames the other citizens for what they've done, adding that he's going to pass laws that will prevent things like that, whether the citizens like them or not.
