A mercenary named Tsumugu Kinagase arrive at the school to hunt down Ryuko.

- Badass Normal: Introduction of Tsumugu Kinagase, a man who fights with a modified sewing gun and cloth related weaponry.
- Batman Gambit: Nonon figures Satsuki would want to see a battle tactic of a Nudist Beach operative so she sent three of her weakest clubs after both Ryuko and him. If they beat the two, then fine, if not they get some valuable data. It's a win-win for her either way.
- Booby Trap: Tsumugu specializes in traps and manages to defeat Nonon's clubs and Ryuko with them. Ryuko is even shocked how the guy had time to set it all up.
- Crazy-Prepared: In the second round against Ryuko, Tsumugu lays traps all over the school ground taking out Nonon's forces and severely weakening Ryuko and Senketsu.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Tsumugu practically decimates everyone who goes against him including a transformed Ryuko.
- Fight Unscene: We never really see the fight between Tsumugu and the three clubs sent after him. Only that he took care of them all quite easily with their bodies either strewn through the school hallways or are left hanging on the ceiling. Apparently all the victims of his traps.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Even when forced to de-morph. Senketsu tries to protect Ryoko to the bitter end. Even Taking the Bullet at one point.
- It's Personal: The reason why Tsumugu is after Senketsu as he mentions someone dear to him was killed by a kamui and he sees all of them as evil.
- That Came Out Wrong: Tsumugu orders Ryuko to take off Senketsu, which causes her to mistaken him for a pervert.
- Villainous Rescue. Tsumugu is all set to strip Ryuko (only prevented when he briefly hears Senketsu threatening him) but Nonon shows up with her school band to capture them both, forcing Tsumugu to use two explosions to get away. Ryuko managing to slip away in the confusion.
- Would Hit a Girl: Tsumugu is not afraid to do this when Ryoko refuses to give up Senketsu.
