Summary
Ace has learned the truth: the Desire Royale is nothing more than a distraction for the Riders to destroy each other as the DGP staff evacuate into another era, ready to start the Desire Grand Prix all over again.
With little time left to save his mother or stop the DGP management, Ace confronts Niram again, awakening a new power from his shattering heart...
Tropes
- Bait-and-Switch: Given how much of a recurring element it has become in the Kamen Rider franchise, one can be forgiven for thinking the piece of the petrified Mitsume would turn into a Raise Buckle in Ace's hand. However, instead Ace's new form comes from his inner rage.
- Big Damn Heroes: Win butts in and prevents Michinaga from destroying Keiwa's ID Core to announce that the Tiebreaker Round period has elapsed.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends as Ace awakens his new, incomplete form that is a franchise staple: The Berserker.
- Cutting the Knot: Subverted. Sueru tries to avoid fighting Ace by simply wishing him out of existence, only for the Goddess to reject the wish in anger.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Mitsume's sin (if it can be even called that) was falling in love with a Desashin and having a child. The DGP decide to punish her not just by instituting a no-fraternization rule, but also by turning her into the Goddess of Creation and using her powers to turn the DGP into a wish-granting, reality-warping affair.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: While it is hard to see, Kekera's and Beroba's wishes involves the two being allowed to stay in the current era without needing to worry about the Grand End plan.
- Hope Spot: When the scoreboard for the ID Core hunt is revealed, Sara is happy that she's in the lead... then her happiness quickly sours when it's revealed Michinaga is tied with her for the top spot.
- Internal Reveal: Kyuun reveals the Grand End plan to Neon, who in turn passes on the information to the Sakurais.
- Mythology Gag: While explaining Ace's origins, Win holds up a card that says "Love and Peace".
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Ace being consumed by his righteous anger regarding his mother actually hampers his combat performance against Niram.
- Painting the Medium: The rule screen at the end gets amended by a fire streak swiping across the screen, indicating Ace's newfound ability to change the rules himself.
- The Reveal:
- Mitsume's power isn't to take happiness from people; it's just the DGP that have been using her for that as their Creation Goddess. Sueru also adds that her powers weaken over time and intends to dispose of her once the Grand End runs its course, having assured Niram that they have a replacement goddess.
- The DGP archives reveal that Ace is the child of a forbidden relationship between Mitsume and an unidentified previous Desashin, the former having awakening her powers while the latter was imprisoned with his existence erased from history for it. Since then, a rule forbidding players and navigators to fall in love has existed, and the reward for Desashin changed from a golden coin to "forming an ideal world".
- Rule of Symbolism: The part of the Goddess' statue that falls into Ace's hands comes from right below her eye, evoking the imagery of a tear falling down her cheek.
- Senseless Sacrifice: Neon takes Michinaga's Zombie Strike in the back to protect Sara, only for both of them to get knocked out of their transformations and their ID Cores destroyed anyway.
- This Cannot Be!: Niram is understandably shocked when the Boost MK III Buckle appears on Ace's Desire Driver.
- Tiebreaker Round: Sara and Michinaga are both tied for first place by the end of the game, which Sueru tells the two to fight each other over their loot the next day. The extension itself ends with Sara's points transferring over to Keiwa after her elimination and the tie still being unresolved.
- Wham Shot:
- The Goddess of Creation rejects the wish Sueru made to erase Ace from reality, cracking in the process.
- It's implied that Ace is capable of changing the rules of the DGP with his new power as this episode's rule is tampered by fire streaks erasing one segment.
