When playing a game of hopscotch, Quack Quack wins, and winning the game allows him to visit Heaven. Kaeloo and Stumpy attempt to do the same, with a little "help" from Mr. Cat.
"Let's Play Hopscotch" contains the following tropes:
- Circling Birdies: Stumpy gets stars around his head after dropping a boulder on it.
- Dragged Off to Hell: Finishing Mr. Cat's hopscotch game results in Quack Quack being sent to Hell.
- Foreshadowing: The title card has flames on it despite the episode seemingly having nothing to do with fire. Near the end of the episode, Mr. Cat successfully constructs a path to Hell.
- Impairment Shot: When Quack Quack is hit on the head by a boulder thanks to Stumpy, the camera blurs and everything appears as though we're seeing double.
- I've Heard of That — What Is It?: Stumpy sees Kaeloo drawing on the ground with chalk and asks her what it is. She shows him that it is a game of hopscotch. Stumpy excitedly raves about how much he loves hopscotch, but he has one question: "what's hopscotch"?
- Nightmare Fetishist: While Kaeloo is horrified by the contents of Mr. Cat's book, Stumpy delightedly remarks "Ooh, gorey!"
- Sarcasm-Blind: Stumpy thinks Mr. Cat sent Quack Quack to Hell by accident.Mr. Cat (fake horror): Oh, I made a mistake! I wrote "Hell" instead of "Heaven"! How absent-minded of me.
Stumpy: Well, there's an understatement for you.
