Green Lantern is battling Sinestro, and having a difficult time of it as his power ring starts running low while the villain somehow seems to have unlimited energy. Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Atom arrive to assist their fellow hero, with the first two joining the battle while the Atom rendezvous with GL and hands off the lantern battery so he can recharge.
Even after Green Lantern is back in the fight at full strength, Sinestro continues to hold his own against the combined might of the heroes. Atom infiltrates Sinestro's ring to find out the secret of his increased power, and finds himself facing surprising new dangers.

- "Not Wearing Pants" Dream: Atom's first hallucination begin with him awkwardly accepting his fellow heroes' accolades... and then finding himself wearing nothing but his mask and underpants as everybody laughs at him.
- Supernatural Fear Inducer: When he enters Sinestro's fear-based yellow ring, Atom starts experiencing situations based on his nightmares.
