The Origin of Obedience
This arc follows Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara as they investigate a series of strange curse related murders. Their mission ends up leading the students to cross paths with the newly incarnated Cursed Womb: Death Paintings.
Death Painting Arc contains the following tropes:
- Acquired Poison Immunity: Yuji is immune to all poisons due to being the host of Sukuna.
- Beware the Silly Ones: Nobara is the one most responsible for the demise of Eso and Kechizu, turning their own technique against them.
- Bully Hunter: What Megumi used to be in middle-school. It ends up being reconstructed in that even the former bullies after getting humbled like Megumi as well.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: The Death Paintings all love each other, which Yuji and Nobara use to kill Eso and Kechizu.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Yuji after killing the Death Painting brothers.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: By infecting Yuji and Nobara with their Cursed Technique, the brothers made it a lot easier for them to kill the brothers.
- Rank Up: Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Maki and Panda are promoted to Grade 1 sorcerers.
- Took a Level in Badass: Megumi becomes the first among the Jujutsu High students to unlock his Domain Expansion.
- Tranquil Fury: Choso once the other two Death Paintings are killed.
